While finishing her Masters studying microplastics in Utah rivers, Macy found no trace trails through a Twitter post. Initially, she wanted to help with the off-trail analysis of trash data. But after a few meetings she decided to commit to hiking the entire 2650-mile trail!​ Read more about Macy's journey to surveying Trash on the Pacific Crest Trail here.
